Team BikeExchange is ready to start in the Tour of Slovenia with a roster that will aim at the general classification and stage victories.

The Australian team will be at the start line in Ptuj with a strong, versatile line-up with two objectives: the overall standing and individual victories. Tanel Kangert and Andrey Zeits will be the men that will fight for good GC positioning, while Alex Edmonson, Robert Stannard and Alexander Konychev will fight for the glory on the fast finishes.

"I finished the Giro d'Italia in good condition, and for this reason, in Slovenia I will try to go for a good result in the GC," said Kangert. "I am thrilled to participate in the Tour because I have never raced on Slovenian roads in the many years of my career. The level will be very high and looking at the route, I believe that both the second and fourth stages with arrival in Sveta Gora will be decisive for the final victory."

"Every stage presents a good opportunity for us," added Gene Bates, BikeExchange's sports director. "I think we have plenty of options with fast riders like Edmonson and Konychev and also Stannard who showed great form lately.

"For the GC, we have Kangert who exited from the Giro very well and also our other climber Zeits who can achieve a good result in the fourth stage with an uphill finish. Bewley will be the team captain and he's coming with great shape as well as Scotson who also came out of the Giro in good condition. Overall, we have a really good group of riders here and we're looking forward to going after some stages and general classification results."

BikeExchange's roster for the Tour of Slovenia (June 9-13):

Sam Bewley (NZL)
Alexander Edmonson (AUS)
Tanel Kangert (EST)
Alexander Konychev (ITA)
Rob Stannard (AUS)
Callum Scotson (AUS)
Andrey Zeits (KAZ)
