Six hilly stages to be included in the 105th Giro d'Italia

The organisation of the Giro d'Italia has unveiled the hilly stages that will feature in its 105th edition.
The 2022 edition of the Corsa Rosa will have six hilly stages that have the potential to be good days for the breakaway, a solo attack or a finisseur's bunch sprint. The first one of those stages will take place between Diamante and Potenza over a 198-kilometre route through the Calabrian-Lucanian mountains that will feature two climbs of the second category, one of the first and one of the third category.
The next hilly stage will have a start and finish in Napoli and will feature a 149-kilometre rolling route. A 194-kilometre course between Pescara and Jesi -with three climbs of the fourth category, will feature in the next stage of these characteristics.
Parma will host the start of the next undulating route, which will be 186 kilometres long, have a finish in Genova and feature three categorized climbs. The fifth rolling stage will take place between Santena and Torino, over a 153-kilometre route, that is set to offer a very intense day of riding.
The last hilly stage of the 105th edition of the Giro d'Italia will be 178-kilometre long, and will take the peloton through a 178-kilometre route with a start in Marano Lagunare and a finish in the Santuario di Castelmonte, and that includes a climbing finish on a second-category climb that reaches an inclination of 7.8%.
