Michael Storer (Team DSM) has taken the KOM jersey at the end of the Vuelta a España after finishing the closing time trial.

Team DSM had a good spell on the Mountain Classification in the Spanish grand tour. While Romain Bardet wore the blue dots jersey after the 14 stage, the Australian seized it at the 18th day of competition, after showing an attacking style in one of the most challenging stages of the race. By finishing the last stage of the race, the rider confirmed his lead on this classification.

"I’m really happy, it’s more than I ever expected to do at this Vuelta," affirmed Storer. "I’m really proud of myself and really proud of the team’s efforts as well; we’ve worked incredibly well together to bring this home.

"We literally have made each other better here, the way we have worked together is incredible; it’s been a really good Vuelta for us. This jersey is really one for the team. We are super happy."
