The organisation of La Vuelta a España has unveiled the invited teams to the 2021 edition of the race.

The 76th edition of the Spanish grand tour is set to start on the 14th of August in Burgos and finish on the fifth of September in Santiago de Compostela, with an individual time trial. The race will be in total 3336.1 kilometres long and will feature some spectacular climbs, as it is already a tradition in the race.

The 19th WorldTour teams are automatically invited to be at the start line in Burgos, and in addition to them, the Belgian formation Alpecin-Fenix will also take part on it as the leader of the 2020 classification of the UCI ProTeams.

As the three grand tours can invite one extra team to the 2021 edition of the races to help with the Covid-19 situation, La Vuelta has decided to invite three Spanish formations: Burgos-BH, Caja Rural-Seguros RGA and Euskaltel-Euskadi.
