Arnaud Demare (Groupama-FDJ) has shown once again that he's enjoying a good moment in his career as he took his fourth stage victory at the 2020 edition of the Giro d'Italia.

The Frenchman was once again the fastest sprinter at the bunch finale at the eleventh stage of the Italian grand tour. The wearer of the Maglia Ciclamino of the points classification -who is the second Frenchman to win four stages in the race after Bernard Hinault did it in 1982- crossed the finish line ahead of Peter Sagan and Alvaro Hodeg.

"It was the first perfect sprint of this Giro for me, even though it’s the fourth win and we weren’t in the right position at the entrance of the finishing town," said Demare. "But the sport directors and coaches of the team had prepared the finale very well so we knew where we’d go.

"When I launched my sprint, it was at very high speed again. Since I got my second stage win, everything is just a bonus, and the pleasure we take from winning together as a team is extraordinary."
