Deceuninck-Quick-Step is set to be at the start line of the 17th Dwars door het Hageland in Belgium.

The 1.1 race is considered one of the most exciting of the calendar that is not part of the WorldTour calendar, due to the combination of cobbled stretches and short climbs that give enough action for the entire route. The race will be 180 kilometres long between Aarschot and Diest.

Deceuninck-Quick-Step is ready to tackle the race with a strong roster that includes riders that have been out of competition for months. "Hageland is always a demanding race, which can kick into gear long before the finish," said sports director Wilfried Peeters.

"We are going there with a team comprising many riders suited to this race, some of them making their first outing since February or March. We did a recon of the course a couple of weeks ago, we know what awaits us, and we hope to get a good result on Saturday."

Deceuninck-Quick-Step's roster for Dwars door het Hageland (August 15):

Alvaro Jose Hodeg Chagui
Iljo Keisse
Florian Sénéchal
Stijn Steels
Jannik Steimle
Zdenek Stybar
Bert Van Lerberghe
