The Vuelta a Burgos is about to start with a luxury line-up and it has launched a campaign to encourage the public to watch it from home.

The Spanish competition will be one of the first stage races after the restart of the season and its new position in the calendar has brought a lot of attention to it. Riders like Alejandro Valverde (Movistar), World Champion Mads Pedersen (Trek-Segafredo), Remco Evenepoel (Deceuninck-Quick-Step), Rafal Majka (Bora-hansgrohe), Mikel Landa (Bahrain McLaren), Richard Carapaz (Ineos) and Nairo Quintana (Arkea Samsic), will be going through the roads of this part of Spain.

For this reason, the Vuelta a Burgos organisation is raising awareness for the public that want to see the race in light of the Covid-19 crisis. The race organisation reminds the public that it will be broadcasted all over the world on TV and through streaming options.

"If you want to go out to applaud the cyclists as they pass along, wearing a mask is mandatory," the organisation said through a statement. "Keep the security distance with the rest of the public and even more, with the cyclists."

The Vuelta a Burgos also released a video in which several riders like Valverde, Majka, Iván Sosa (Ineos) and Matteo Trentin (CCC Team) ask the public to watch it from home.
