The winner of the 2019 of the UCI Women's Tour individual ranking Lorena Wiebes wants to change teams for 2020, according to Belgian website Wielerverhaal.

The young rider had an outstanding 2019 season in which she took victories at the Tour of Chongming Island, the EPZ Omloop van Borsele, the Spar Flanders Diamond Tour and the Danilith Nokere Koerse. The Belgian publication said that the 20-year-old wants to sign for a bigger team in 2020 and that she already has offers from CCC-Liv, Trek-Segafredo and Sunweb.

Wiebes signed a contract with Parkhotel Valkenburg in 2017 and is supposed to stay until the end of 2020. The rider has somehow confirmed the information of Wielerverhaal through a tweet.

"It is very unfortunate it had to come to this situation between me and Parkhotel Valkenburg," she commented. "I have always been grateful to my teammates (and staff) and they have always done everything to help me in the races as good as possible. It is not surprising that I often had to do it alone in the final, because Parkhotel Valkenburg is a development team and I could not expect anything more from the girls either.

"Looking forward to next season, I think the pressure on my teammates will only get higher after the success of 2019 and the focus of developing young talents will get lost in the pressure of getting results."
