Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) dreams with taking the Yellow Jersey of the Tour de France at La Planche des Belles Filles, but it is still a long way to go until the 2020 edition of the race.

Just after finishing the Saitama Criterium -in which he finished in the third position- and a season that was successful for him with victories in the UAE Tour, the Tour de Romandie, the Vuelta a España, the Giro dell'Emilia and the Tre Valli Varesine, the Slovenian is already looking forward to the season that is coming, particularly to the Tour de France.

"The more time trial kilometres, the better for me, but the 20th stage of the race, the climbing time trial of Le Planche des Belles Filles, can be very good for me and I think I could make a difference there," said the rider to Spanish newspaper Marca. "That is my favourite stage and I would like to take the Yellow Jersey there to wear it then in Paris.

"When I saw that the time trial is happening on the last day of competition I got very happy, but I don't want to get my hopes up. I have to go step by step. Until now I have only started on the Tour twice and I need to be careful."

Jumbo-Visma has shown to have reached a competitive level and this in addition to the signing of Tom Dumoulin, makes Roglic have a lot of trust in what they can do. "(Egan) Bernal and (Chris) Froome have a super team that has dominated the Tour for many years," the Slovenian commented.

"We have reinforced our roster and we are not scared of Ineos, in any case maybe they should be scared of us. I think we can fight to win the three Grand Tours with Dumoulin, Kruisjwijk and me. But we always need to have respect for the rivals."
