Movistar Team has announced the signing of Enric Mas for the next three seasons. The young rider will arrive to lead the general classification aspirations of the formation.

The Spaniard took a step to the WorldTour with the team currently known as Deceuninck-Quick-Step in 2017. Since then, Mas has achieved outstanding results in important races that put him in the cycling map as one of the most promising riders for stage races.

The 24-year-old has a palmares that includes stage victories in races like the Vuelta a España and Itzulia Basque Country, as well as wins in the Volta ao Alentejo and the Tour de Savoie Mont Blanc. Mas has also taken top-ten overall places in competitions like the Vuelta a España, Tour de Suisse, the Vuelta a Burgos, Itzulia, the Volta a Catalunya and the Volta ao Algarve.

In the most recent edition of the Tour de France, the rider finished in the third position of the overall classification -and wore the White Jersey for one day after the 13th stage of the race- and was one of the supporter riders in Julian Alaphilippe's fight for the General Classification.

Mas arrives to Movistar with a three-year contract, until at least 2022, and with the main objective of fighting for the overall classification in one-week stage races and Grand Tours.
