Canyon-SRAM is racing Liege-Bastogne-Liege with a roster that includes winner of the 2019 Amstel Gold Race, Kasia Niewiadoma.

The team is ready to face the ninth appointment of the UCI Women's World Tour with a strong roster that includes Niewiadoma. The race will be 138.5 kilometres long over a route that will feature five climbs and will have a finish in the centre of Liege.

Niewiadoma is ready for this challenge. "Liège is going to be definitely one of the hardest races of my life!" she commented. "There is not much time for rest or recovery in between the climbs and small hills. There is always something that you need to focus on!

"After Amstel and Fléche, I’m feeling pretty good! I like the type of climbs we have in Liége—steep, but not as steep as the Mur de Huy. I feel they suit my strengths so that I can be more explosive on the climbs."

Alena Amialiusik agrees about the difficulty of the climbs and thinks the changes in the last kilometres can make a difference. "The new climbs are very hard!" she said. "But the finish kilometres are very different compared to last year, with the final 10km having more downhill than uphill.

"I think that will play a big part with what will happen earlier in the race. Climbers will have to go earlier but there's a chance someone can come back to the front rider or to a small front group in the final kilometres. I hope it's an exciting race, and for sure we want to make it hard and do our best."

Canyon-SRAM's roster for Liege-Bastogne-Liege (28th of April):

Kasia Niewiadoma
Alena Amialiusik
Alice Barnes
Hannah Barnes
Hannah Ludwig
Omer Shapira
