Boels-Dolmans' Jip van den Bos has taken a solo victory at Le Samyn des Dames. The Dutch rider attacked in the last kilometres and crossed the finish line by herself.

The race was 101.1 kilometres long in the south of Belgium and featured three local laps in Quaregnon, each including four cobblestone sections.

The first part of the race had a creation of a big group in front of around 27 riders and included names like Audrey Cordon-Ragot, Lotta Lepistö, Ruth Winder (Trek-Segafredo), Marta Bastianelli (Virtu Cycling) and Lotte Kopecky (Lotto Soudal). The peloton got back together with around 30 kilometres to go.

In the last part of the race, a new escape group was formed and included riders like Jip van den Bos (Boels-Dolmans), Barbara Guarischi (Virtu), Malgorzata Jasinska (Movistar) and Lauretta Hanson (Trek-Segafredo). This group had a gap of more than two minutes just past the seven-kilometre mark, which meant the riders in it were going to fight for the final victory.

Just after the five-kilometre mark Van den Bos attacked and managed to get a good advantage over the rest. The rider, who already finished in the third position of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad last weekend, took a solo victory.

Behind Van den Bos, Equano-Wase Zon rider Daniela Gab took second place ahead of Lotto Soudal's Demi de Jong. Lauretta Hanson (Trek-Segafredo) and Barbara Guarischi (Team Virtu) complete the top five.
