The Volta Limburg Classic women will take place on the sixth of April, the same day as the men's race. For 2019, the competition will include some innovations about prize money and broadcasting.

In 2019, the third edition of the race will start in the municipality of Eijsden, in the Dutch province of Limburg, and will have the same course as it has had in the last two editions. The women's peloton will face a route of 112 kilometres that are divided in one lap and several smaller ones around Eijsden-Margraten.

Also, in 2019 the race will be categorised "national race", which means that riders from UCI teams and clubs will rider in the same peloton.

For the third edition of the Volta Limburg Classic, the prize money will be more than doubled, and a mountain prize will be awarded following a points system that will be given in each of the seven climbs that feature on the race and will be named Rabobank Berg Prize.

Another news for the women's race is that it will be shown on the local television channel L1 TV, which is normally in charge of the broadcast of the men's race. The television show will continuously switch between the two races so the viewers will not miss any details of any of the competitions.
