Grace Brown has taken the victory of the third stage at the Santos Women's Tour Down Under, this is the second win in a row for Mitchelton-Scott. Amanda Spratt finished in the fifth position and kept the GC lead.

Despite the windy conditions of the day, Mitchelton-Scott managed to control most of the stage and kept the peloton together. The third day of competition in Australia finished in a bunch sprint in which Brown showed to have the better legs.

The Australian rider was at the front of the race for the last ten kilometres and launched her sprint with 700 metres remaining, which was enough for her to take the stage victory over Trek-Segafredo's Ruth Winder and Team UniSA-Australia's Rachel Neylan. "I am pretty happy," Brown commented. "It was the team plan for me and Gracie (Elvin) to have a going the final here and it's really awesome after all the hard work that I get a victory myself.

"It was a really hard day actually, much harder than I was expecting. I think my legs are feeling it from the last two days and there was a little bit of doubt, especially after the neutralisation I felt a bit dead, but I think everyone felt it. I have got family and friends here watching so it's really cool to do that in front of them."

With one stage to go, a criterium in the centre of Adelaide, Amanda Spratt maintains a 49-second advantage over her teammate Lucy Kennedy at the overall classification and heads to her third victory at the Australian race.
