Gabrielle Pilote-Fortin has extended her contract with WNT-Rotor Pro Cycling for another year. The Canadian arrived to the team in 2018 and looks forward to another successful season.

The 25-year-old has been a very important part of the team in the current season and expects to have another good year. "I’m very happy in the team and still so thankful for the opportunity and the trust Dirk (Baldinger, sports director) gave me in 2018," she commented.

"I needed a chance to do a lot of races and get back into the sport after my bad accident and there aren’t many directors or teams that would’ve done it. I am very motivated by the new team and the new signings, I think it will be a lot different next year but for me, it’s a good chance to get more mentorship and to learn how to turn my strengths into results."

Pilote-Fortin is particularly excited about one of the signings for the 2019 season: Clara Koppenburg. "I am also super happy that Clara is joining for 2019, she’s one of my best friends, and I have loved her ever since my first day of team camp with Bigla," the Canadian explained.

"I’m looking forward to the stage races and the hilly classics, I think our team will be one to look at."

WNT-Rotor's sports director Dirk Baldinger is pleased about this contract extension. "Gabrielle has taken the right steps all year and I believe will be a fundamental rider moving forward into next season, she can carry on improving so I’m really excited."
