Cofidis rider Anthony Perez has won the fourth and final stage of the Skoda Tour de Luxembourg. Andrea Pasqualon of Wanty-Groupe Gobert secured the overall victory.

The last stage of the UCI 2.HC race was 176 kilometers long and featured a hilly profile, making it difficult for the sprint teams to have their say.

The final of the stage was action-packed as a chase group including Perez first reeled in the last remaining escapees of the day, after which race leader Pasqualon and Eduard Prades made the jump to join those in front as well.

The two seemed ready to fight for the win, but Perez surprised them with a powerful final sprint to cross the line ahead of Prades, Pasqualon and Leopard's Pit Leyder, who had also connected with the front group.

While Perez took the stage, Pasqualon still had plenty to be happy about. Having won two stages in this race, the Italian now also confirmed his overall victory with an advantage of 15 seconds on CCC's Jan Tratnik.

Home rider Leyder completed the podium of the general classification at 29 seconds from the winner.
