Bryan Coquard of Vital Concept Cycling Club has won the fourth stage of the 4 Jours de Dunkerque.
The fourth of sixth stages was 172.5 kilometers long with start in Dainville and finish in Mont Saint-Eloi after a short uphill stretch.
Lasse Norman Hansen, Jonas Rickaert and Julien Duval attacked early on and spent most of the day ahead of the pack, even though their advantage never exceeded three minutes.
Duval was the last man standing in the breakaway but he too was caught with about 16 kilometers to go. Julian Antomarchi attacked some time later and created a small gap, but could not stay away from the peloton long enough.
In the mass sprint, Coquard powered to victory ahead of Lotto Soudal's Jasper de Buyst and Wouter Wippert of Roompot-Nederlandse Loterij.
Coquard also re-takes the lead in the overall classification, at the expense of Belgian Timothy Dupont of Wanty-Groupe Gobert.
