The 2018 edition of the Women's Tour de Yorkshire will have a strong line-up with some of the best riders win the world set to fight for the victory.

A one-day race for its first three editions, the Tour de Yorkshire will consist of two separate stages for its fourth edition, with Beverley, Doncaster, Barnsley and Ilkley featuring as host towns.

Reigning champion Lizzie Deignan will skip this year's race but her team Boels-Dolmans will travel to the UK with a particularly strong squad as both Anna van der Breggen and world champion Chantal Blaak are set to make an appearance.

Also present are Kirsten Wild of Wiggle High5, who won the race in 2016, and her teammates Elisa Longo Borghini and Katie Archibald.

Other big names on the start list include Chloe Hosking (Ale-Cipollini), Ellen van Dijk (Sunweb) and Dani Rowe (Great Britain National Team).

"The Asda Tour de Yorkshire Women’s Race has cemented its place as one of the highest-profile races in the sport," said Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Executive Sir Gary Verity. "The top riders in the world are not just attracted to the fact we’re able to offer one of the largest prize funds in the sport and full live TV coverage, it’s because they get to ride in front of massive crowds, receive a warm Yorkshire welcome, and the terrain provides a tough and varied test.

"With the race doubling in size from one day to two in 2018 we’re able to offer something for everyone, and our first-ever summit finish on the Cow and Calf is sure to guarantee a gripping conclusion."

The race is scheduled to take place between the 3rd and 4th of May.
