Amund Grøndahl Jansen has renewed his contract with LottoNL-Jumbo for two more years. The Norwegian arrived at the Dutch squad in 2017.

The young talent is considered a classic rider though right now he also plays an important part in Dylan Groenewegen's sprint train. "Talent development and lead up young riders are key values within our sportive plans," said team manager Richard Plugge.

"It’s a logic step that Amund extends his time with us and I’m happy that he wanted it himself."

Grøndahl Jansen is also happy to stay in the team. "I like it a lot at Team LottoNL-Jumbo," the rider commented. "It's the perfect team for me. I ride a program which fits me, such as the spring classics. The cobblestone classics are what I'm best at.

"I'm very happy with my new contract. I showed that I have potential, so they extended it. I like to keep working in the same team, with the same trainer, the same team captains, the system I know. And I think it's super to continue to develop myself here."
