UAE Team Emirates' Alexander Kristoff is set to be the leader of the team's Paris-Roubaix roster. The rider's objective will be to improve from the ninth position he took in the 2013 edition of the race, his best result so far.

The Norwegian is expecting to be in optimal form after having suffered from sickness in the first part of the classics. "We’re going to Paris-Roubaix with the hope that our leader Alexander Kristoff has recovered in this week some form after colds that slowed down the first part this northern campaign," said sports director Mario Scirea.

"Alex is a warrior, but at this level, you have to be 100% ready to compete with the best. We are going to study a plan with our young riders, who are showing a good appreciation and spirit for these type of races."

Ben Swift was set to be on the roster for the Monument but a crash in the Tour of Flanders has ruled him out of the race. Roberto Ferrari will be his replacement.

Complete line-up for UAE Team Emirates for Paris-Roubaix (8th of April):

Alexander Kristoff
Filippo Ganna
Roberto Ferrari
Sven Erik Bystrøm
Marco Marcato
Oliviero Troia
Simone Consonni
