Former rider Alberto Contador has stated that he misses racing but has many projects to keep him busy after his retirement.

At the Gala of the Sports Press Association of Madrid, Contador talked to the Spanish news agency EFE about his feelings in this first year of retirement. "It is going well," he said. "Maybe sometimes a feel a bit nostalgic, but I'm fine, happy.

"I have a lot of projects pending, so I don't have time to get bored. So I'm feeling good."

'El Pistolero' added that he wants to keep busy to feel less nostalgic about racing. "I'm a very competitive person, a person that likes to have challenges," he explained.

"Maybe I don't have competition as such right now, that's why it is normal to miss it a little bit. But I hope this feeling goes away."
