Movistar Team has announced contract extensions for Winner Anacona and Carlos Betancur. The Colombians will stay at the Spanish team until the end of the 2019 season.

Anacona and Betancur join Nairo Quintana as the Colombians that have signed new contracts for the next seasons. With these extensions, there are 24 confirmed riders for next season, including the new signings of Mikel Landa, Jaime Roson, Eduardo Sepulveda, Rafael Valls and Jaime Castrillo.

The 2018 season will be the fourth for Anacona in the Spanish squad. The 29-year-old Colombian, who normally trains with Quintana in the riders' home country, comes from a 2017 season in which he finished 25th in the Giro d'Italia after being of great help for the second place achieved by his teammate.

Betancur is finishing his recovery from the ankle fracture he suffered during the Vuelta a España and will return to cycling in 2018, his third year in Movistar. During the 2017 season, the rider showed good form during the Hammer Series, as well as in the Tour de France where he finished in the 18th position and the Spanish Grand Tour up until his crash.
