Caja Rural-Seguros RGA signs French sprinter Yannis Yssaad

Caja Rural-Seguros RGA has announced the signing of Yannis Yssaad for the 2018 season. The Frenchman makes the move from the Armee de Terre Continental team.

The 24-year-old has had an impressive season which includes a victory at Paris-Troyes and stage wins in the Ronde de l'Oise, the Trofeo Joaquin Agostinho and the An Post Ras.

Yssaad will join Colombian Nelson Soto as the reinforcements for the team's sprint ambitions "My goal was to evolve to a high level and that is what Caja Rural-Seguros RGA has given me the chance to be able to do," he commented.

"I'm really happy to be able to join the team. Everything will be new to me, I always raced in a French team but I don't care. I immediately had a good feeling with the manager, Juan Manuel Hernandez, and that is the main reason why I joined the team. We have a common goal which is to win races."

The Frenchman comes to support the team and find chances for himself in fast finishes. "I am always helpful, I always give 100% to my teammates or myself. I like all the races but what I like most are the sprint finishes and especially when it's slightly uphill. It is a beautiful team with a beautiful race calendar and I intend to honour the jersey for next season."
