Mikel Landa (Team Sky) believes that his arrival to Movistar won't be a problem for Nairo Quintana and that they will have their own turns leading the team.

During his presentation as the president of the Cycling Foundation Euskadi, the rider commented on how he thinks the situation will be at Movistar. "Nairo is not going to ride all the races. The calendar will be divided, it won't be a problem. We haven't talked about it yet, I'm arriving to a new team and everything will be discussed."

After stating that he wasn't going to be anyone's helper in the future, the Spaniard said that he will have to "know the routes of the Giro and the Tour to make any decisions. The Giro is more suitable to my characteristics, but the Tour de France is a race that gives you a lot."

Despite the fact that riders like the Herrada brothers, Jonathan Castroviejo and Alex Dowsett are leaving Movistar, Landa thinks the team will be strong next season. "I trust Eusebio Unzue (Movistar's director)," he explained. "I chose this team because it is able to put together a very competitive team around a leader.

"I know we won't have important names and will have domestiques with less experience, but with the directors we have, I trust we can get new important riders."

About the performance of his current teammate Chris Froome in the Vuelta a España, the rider says that he expected this. "Froome doesn't surprise me," he commented. "He's been years doing Tour and Vuelta, and he has always had a good level. Last year he lost the Vuelta on a bad day, but he was the strongest. This year things are going the same way, and he's the favourite."
