Quick-Step Floors rider Matteo Trentin believes that even more is possible after securing his third stage win at this year's Vuelta a España.

The rider delivered a strong uphill sprint to finish the stage ahead of Sunweb's Soren Kragh Andersen and Team Sky's Gianni Moscon.

"The finish was not at all to my liking," the Italian said. "On paper, it looks less hard, especially around three kilometres to the finish. We decided to go for it, except for (David) De La Cruz who will have to go for it all the next days. The guys were amazing, everybody did their jobs, everybody gave everything they had.

"I had to win because when the team is like this then you have to finish the work they did."

The rider has now won one stage in the Giro d'Italia, two in the Tour de France and three in the Vuelta a España.

"It's amazing, because I came to this race with confidence but I didn't expect something like this and even for the team the Vuelta is not finished, so we are betting for more."
