Caja Rural to fight for stage wins at Vuelta a España

Caja Rural-Seguros RGA has announced a team that mixes experience and youth for the upcoming Vuelta a España.

The Spanish team will go to the 72nd edition of the Spanish Grand Tour with the main objective of taking stage victories. For that, the biggest expectations are set on Jaime Roson, who showed his good form by finishing fifth at the Vuelta a Burgos.

Lluis Mas is returning to the race after suffering a dislocated hip in a fall in the fourth stage of last year's edition of the Spanish grand tour. The rider will be hoping to repeat his performance of 2014, where he held the mountains jersey for ten stages.

The team, which will feature veterans Sergio Pardilla and David Arroyo as captains, will also have Uruguayan Fabricio Ferrari trying to animate breakaways.

The squad is completed by debutants Nick Schultz, Rafael Reis, Hector Saez and Diego Rubio.

"The work is all done now, the training has gone well and I have no excuses ahead of the Vuelta," said Pardilla. "All we need now is a bit of luck and for the race to go our way a bit . At the moment I feel physically ready and eager to start. My own personal objective will be to fight for a stage win."
